How to get ringtones on Iphone v1?

Is there an app to make ringtones on the Iphone? I tried the one from Iclarifieds site where they have the tutorial but it appears the source website is down. Any other way to do it? Thanks!

just go in itunes, more info on the song you want, shorten it to the section you want with start and stop time (less than 30sec), create AAC, open in windows explorer, change file type from .m4a to .m4r, drag back into itunes, sync, success!

make sure you go back to the song info and uncheck the start stop time so it plays normally. and unfortunately, unless you edit it yourself, no fade in/out.

were not supposed to post links, i know there's some circumstances where it is ok and some where it isn't so i'll play it safe.. go to google and type in iringer and go to the iringer website, it makes ringtones SO easy. alls you do is upload the song you want for your ringtone, pick out the section you want and it sends it all straight to itunes ringtones and alls that left is syncing
