Iphone 8g running slow

my Iphone is acting very slow. when i switch screens, whether its to send a text or switch to a different screen there is a very long pause in between. It's driving me crazy. Could my iphone have a virus of some sort? Is there anything i can do?

Buy the 3G S (S stand for Speed!!! WOO HOO)

Try to do a reset (hold both buttons down for about 15 seconds ,til apple appears). You could also go thru and reset network settings, clear the cache etc. And if it keeps doing it, restore your phone thru iTunes.

Thanks, the reset helped a little. Wish I could get the new iPhone but I can't afford it. Plus the iPhone that I have is an unlocked one.
