As many of you know, Invisible Shield by Zagg has an AMAZING life long policy where you can just take off the shield, put it on a piece of paper, and return it to any Invisible Shield kiosk and they will give you a brand new one with a free install kit. I've been doing this since 2007, and they've always just given me a replacement no questions asked.

Since the 3G S is the same size as the 3G, I took my shield off, put it on paper, and went to the mall for a replacement. As she was handing me my replacement kit, she mentioned "I don't know if you're aware but there's a new iPhone coming out this week so from now on make sure you bring the shield still attached to your phone." When I asked why, she said "You're not allowed to use your 3G shield on the 3G S, you will need to rebuy". I smirked since that was EXACTLY what I was doing, took the shield and left.

I've had a lot of respect for this company and product, but isn't this just the lamest new policy you've ever heard? Why would I buy the exact same product again just because I have a new phone? They're not gonna make two versions, they're just gonna change their box to say "Fits iPhone 3G / 3G S".

Anyway, so make sure if you are planning on replacing your shield from 3G to 3G S that you actually bring in your 3G first and have them watch you take it off, then just go home and put it on your 3G S.

theres a invisible sheild kiosk at my mall here in vegas, they want $20 for front and $30 for the back, is that what you guys normally pay for? they said lifetime warranty, I think I am going to take my new iphone 3gs tomorrow, is it worth it?
