App store app "more" disappeared???

Has this happened to anyone else? I am on the GM version of 3.0 and my app store used to have a "more" button that I could edit the button order and also had "redeem" there too. Now its gone, but my buttons (minus the "more" button) are still in the order that I put them in??? I've reset the phone and short of a restore I don't know what to do??

Mine did the exact same thing. The "More" button was there yesterday. Gone today. Not sure why. The more button allowed you to redeem coupons through the phone I believe. Not sure why it was taken away.

The more button is rather important as that's how you get to update now. I haven't had mine disappear yet on the GM.

Exactly, it was nice. But at least I'm not alone, otherwise I was going to do a restore. I thought it had something to do with my activating tethering....

luckily I had swapped the "categories" with "updates" before it happened.

Whoa... weird! I just looked again and my more is gone as well, replaced with "updates"

Yeah I noticed that too. Something was wrong with that anyway. Every time I tried to reorder the functions, it would never save. I think the only thing we're missing out on right now is the ability to redeem for apps.

I was just coming on here to post about this problem when I noticed this thread on the homepage.

It was there this morning, I updated Shazam and it was fine. I checked just before and it was still on the update screen, but another App had an update. When that App was done updating, the More button in the App store disappeared and now is back to the Update button like it was in the last O/S version.

There are a lot of people experiencing this now; a few others (myself included) noticed something strange. Before the MORE button disappeared (and was replaced by the Update buttom), the wheel that appeard next to the E (or 3G) icon in the left hand side of the top of the screen that showed that data was loading or transmitting was acting really choppy - and then the More button disappeared. I also noticed that the bar with the buttons took a long time to pop up and the App store took a long time to load - and when the App Store loaded and the bar with the buttons popped up, the More was replaced with Update. Could Apple have done an over the air update to the App Store software on the phone that happened when you connected to the store?

You guys are scaring me. I didn't face anything like that. But is there no solution for it? Beside people are having lots of bad rumor about iPhone. I will share when get to know more.

I'm having the same issues. The MORE button is gone and the stuttering activity wheel.

More button went as soon as I updated an app. Also the spinning wheel is just weird and is stuttering. Other than that, I'm loving 3.0.

You guys are not alone. I have an iPod touch 2nd gen and the same thing happened. I thought I was going crazy. I clicked 'more', then decided to move the 'update' button to replace the 'category' button on the bottom toolbar. Next day I noticed that the "... More" button was gone, and the app store button layout went back to 2.2 configuration. What the crap?

You can still redeem cards by going to the iTunes app on you phone / iPod. Just strange that this happened. No other problems with 3.0, love it. Can't wait to get some bluetooth headphones for my touch.

Same thing here. The first day I had the 3.0 update, I had a "more" button in the App Store. The next day, it was gone--replaced with the old "updates" button. I thought I had somehow imagined seeing the "more" button, but I guess not.

I have no idea why this happened--or how. If Apple did do an over-the-air update, then that's a bit scary. But I honestly have no idea how the App Store works on the iPhone. If the App Store is similar to a webpage, then the configuration isn't stored on the phone, but on Apple's side. Which means that they can change the look/layout anytime they wish, and when you click on the App Store, you log into whatever they've got set up.

However, if the App Store's layout/configuration is fixed and stored on the phone itself, then the only way it could have been changed is by Apple updating it over the air.

Any ideas?

Same experience. I didn't post because it doesn't really matter. I've never used the redeem thingy so its no biggie.
