That compares to BiteSMS. I'm currently not jailbroken cause of 3.0 and I want something similar to bitesms where I don't have to close app to respond to incoming messages. Also give me the option to write an SMS by pushing the side button without closing apps. Anything close to that in the app store?

No, you will need to jailbreak. The best you can do is be notified of a text via push notification. Textfree is the only one to offer that.

So does it allow u do run programs in the background?
