Sirius XM App LIVE NOW

The Sirius XM App is now live. I went to the Yahoo home page and there was a link halfway down on the right half with a 7 day free trial and a link to the app. I listened to it for the last two hours. Quality was great!!! Some of the channels are not included, one I noticed was NASCAR radio. Evidently some channels do not have a mobile agreement and therefore cannot be rebroadcast over the network. But most of the channels are there and the sound is better than that of my Stilleto! The cost per month is $2.99

No Stern, no NFL......, I really had high hopes for this, but I think I'll stick with pocket tunes and wunderradio since I can get everything.

I don't get these guys. Removing Howard and the NFL games severely limits the use of the app. It's like having SlingPlayer withouth 3G support.:angry:

I'm an XM subscriber but there's no way I can justify paying $3 per month for this app. I'm still boycotting the fee they're now charging to listen online. I don't get that either. If I'm already getting XM in the car, why should I have pay MORE to listen online at work?

Oh well. One more unhappy customer.

When you open it up what version is it showing? Mine shows 1.2.4. It's possible it's limited because you're on a free trial. When you go through your rock stations Boneyard is between The Spectrum and Octane... if you don't see it there then that would be my guess.

That's gotta be the reason. I'm not kidding, there is absolutely NO rock stations on my list, when I scroll down to the section labeled
as "Rock", it's nothing but Country stations.

I'm gonna go ahead and upgrade so I can get these, apparently the trial is missing a lot of channels.

What?? really?? That's very strange. Did you already have a Premium acct. when you started using the trial? Were you with Sirius or XM before the trial?

looks like howard stern wants a diff contract to stream his 2 channels.

was listening today (monday june 23) and he didnt even sound like he was mad.

also, note that in version 3.0 providers can do so much diff things with charging users with fees and junk.

guess that's why they waited so long to release an app...

to extract more $$$$ from listeners...
