I haven't tried it yet, but I am very slow. This is the first smartphone that I have ever owned. I am thankful it remembers addresses to websites I visited.

average about 45 to 50, with high of 68, but thats with a few errors

i averaged between 30-40 wpm. did anyone noticed any lag while typing the keys running on EDGE? Cause I did

I can type about as fast as a "newb typer" on a real keyboard. lol

Very quickly for a phone, in other words. As long as I cradle the phone in my left hand, and type with my right index finger, I can haul butt.

I was typing about 18 wpm. I don't text/email that much. On my pc I type about 85 wpm in the same site. So I am not a finger pecker either.

averaging 35-45ish words. This does not include punctuation and I'd be hard pressed to believe someone can type 60 WPM on this thing. Still faster than any phone I've ever had...

im averaging high 20's to low 30's. plenty fast for me. i don't plan on writing any novels on the iphone. i did type faster on my Q and Treo, but still ok with it.

I can easily type 80+ with errors but consistently 45+ with no errors.
