The new MLB AT BAT 2009 app now will feature live games through the iphones (thanks to 3.0), so do I trust it and trust the quality and spend 10$ on this almost half way through the baseball season? i would do it definately if it was cheaper but 10 bucks will have to grab my attention? help if possible--opinions plz!!

We are only 1/3 of the way thru the season right now. However, I love this app. They live scoring and info alone is worth the $10, add in the video updates within a few minutes of any 'game changing' plays and now the addition of 2 live games each day!!! I would say go for it!!!

Yep, if you love baseball, "just do it". It's a great app for following the day's baseball on the go. Can't imagine you regretting it. I use it everyday.

This is a great app for any baseball fan. Not only does it now offer video feed of some games, live audio feed is available for all game. It great to be able to listen to games when sitting at my desk at work or waiting for my fiance to pick out a new outfit at the mall. Well worth the $10 price.

I have it and I couldn't imagine not having it. Especially now that you can stream certain games to your phone. Get it and enjoy!

I completely disagree with all of you.

It is idiotic for it to feature 2 games a day. Why? Because what do I give a flying F about the Pittsburgh Pirates for? I don't. I only want to watch Yankees games. I already shelled out $120 for MLB.TV, and I would have gladly shelled out $10 more for this. But to not be able to watch my team on it? Meh...

I love baseball but I love iPhone apps more. This is a great app. Finally they are doing something good with the iPhone apps. And for such a great pleasure its a very small amount to pay.

You might need to update your app. It also supposed to only work in 3.0.

There's only 2 games per day that's televised as well.

Looks like MLB.com At Bat is now optimized for Wi-Fi. The picture above is a screenshot from my iPhone 3G. Looks beautiful!

But, for some reason, this stream has non-existent audio. Is the picture actually better now, or is nobody watching this stream because it has no audio?

Man , I've went back and forth about this app for two weeks now. If i could watch th Cubs it would be a no brainer.

I watch the Cubs games on it about every other day average. For some reasons, they are one of the more played games on the live tv.

Like the other guy said, the Cubs are actually featured on the live TV a lot. Or, you can listen to the live radio broadcast all the time.

I think it would be up to how reliable your 3G network is and how much access you have to Wi-Fi.

It was a no-brainer for me to get MLB before the season came out since I live in Hawaii and we don't get the pick of the litter on TV.

I live in the north suburbs of Chicago, but from what I've read you can't watch your own team .

Am I right about that ?

Something about blackouts.

My 3g reception here is awsome but the main reason I would want this is to watch Cubs games while I'm stuck at work or stuck wherever.

Oh yeah, sorry. If you live too close then it will probably be blacked out. I live in Hawaii so nothing is blacked out here. :2cool:

Yeah, most have audio. This particular one didn't. I was just wondering if the picture quality has been upgraded for Wi-Fi or if it looked good because no one was watching a botched stream.

I've watched a couple of games over wifi and the video was stunning. Even better than Slingbox by a smidgen...

I'm glad the video is upgraded. I might watch more often now.
