Okay everyone I want to know your opinion. Should I upgrade to 3.0? Yes this might be a stupid question... but I am jailbroken and able to run unlocked. I am not able to upgrade to 3gs intill 4-2010 but now seems like I will be able to in November since at&t changed the upgrade dates today.

Do you think it would be worth it for me to backup restore and upgrade to 3.0 or just stay jailbroken and unlocked.

The Dev Team have jailbroken it already - they just haven't updated their user-friendly tools for it as yet - expect that may well happen this weekend or soon after ...

Doubt that very much - that's never been their sort of focus. But I imagine we'll see some jailbreak apps that will look to offer that if it's do-able ...

well in that case im upgrading after I eat... Lets hope it goes smooth... 3.0 here comes iphonetony... lets hope the jailbreak will have an app that will upload video to youtube then im happy with not buying 3gs

Not to tread on Tony's thread, but I wondered if the dev team would figure out how to enable the iPhone 3G S apps. Sure they wouldn't run like the wind, but I'm sure jailbreaking would be off the charts if you could turn your 3G into a 3GS (minus the speed of course).

The dev team is getting quite impressive with these jailbreaks and unlocks. Remember the time it took to unlock the first iPhone?

That link will tell you when updates to your usual jailbreak tools will be available. You do have your usual jailbreak tools, right?

Well I now have my summer time fan blowing on the crappy old p.c it is now up and running. I wished I had this process running live ustream so you all can see how silly it looks. It would make for a perfect pc vs mac tv ad
