...stopped for a Guinness on my walk home from work.

Blah. I love beer and I'm Irish. But I cannot stand the taste of Guinness. I'll take a Corona with lime, please. :2cool:

I prefer a half glass of Guiness, with a shot of Baily's/Jameson's dropped into it. Drink real fast. Yum.

I had a near-perfect day on Sunday - tennis and swimming before lunch, lunch at a local Central Market cafe, live jazz/swing music and an 83 year old woman belting out 'Route 66'.

No Guinness though dammit. Must rectify that next time round :smile:

in my opinion, the best wheat beers are from Germany, not Belgium. Franziskaner and Weihenstephan are my two favorites. That's not to say that Belgium doesn't have equal offerings. Try Leffe for a great Belgian Ale...Chimay and Duvel are both immensely popular, and for good reason...Delerium has gained a lot of attention, but i really only like their winter holiday offering...

As far as beer...I have varied tastes. Love guiness, but I drink it slow.
definitely a Corona man with lime.
Old English Malt liquour when the mood hits
If I am looking to get tore up. It's generally UV Vodka with some sort of juice. That stuff is cheap and smooth and will mess you up faster than a rabid pitbull. it's distilled 4 times.
But if I am having a dirty martini, it's Kettle one

Beers - so many - love a good stout now and again, but mostly lagers for me - Hoegaarden, Grolsch, Kronenberg 1664, Stella, the original Budweiser (the Czech one, now called Budvar) - good, strong lagers, or even a good dry cider - yum :)

If I am drinking tequila, I don't care what brand it is. I will drink any tequila with NOM numbers. It is just like most anything else, each different brand has different characteristics and different qualities. Tecate........hell yeah, good stuff. Every once in a while I like to take a can of Tecate and dip the top of the can in salt. Good times.
