View Full Version : iPhone is one of the most dangerous phones for your health?

So I've been to a few health seminars with my mom recently, and one of the doctor's was really stressing the subject of electromagnetic interference and its longterm effects on the body. Well, one particular research group has gone so far as to claim the iPhone to be one of the most dangerous phones of today. Check this out:
http://products.mercola.com/blue-tube-headset/
I understand that the Specific Absorption Rates (SAR levels) for the iPhone are as follows, with the maximum rating set by the FCC to be 1.6W/kg
*iPhone*: 0.974
*iPhone 3G*: 1.388
*iPhone 3G S*: 1.19
http://www.sarshield.com/english/radiationchart.htm
Is Mercola's advertising for the BlueTube just a bunch of BS (because the marketing seems very superficial) or will I be fine talking on the iPhone 3G S over speakerphone (which I do 90% of the time on the 3G already)? My mom has gone paranoid over the entire topic of EMI exposure and brain tumors. That said, I'm interested in your replies, thanks in advance.

I'm not very keen on the subject but I have heard that cell phones in general have added to the risk of testicular cancer in men because a lot of men carry their phone in their pocket. With that being said, I suppose it is plausible.

I lost my hair and my first few wives. But my testicular still works. Sorry Freak39 but I find it hard to worry about this. Maybe it's an age thing, eh?

••You listen to much to the soldiers!!
No lesson seem to be so deeply inculcated by the
experience of life as that you never should trust in
experts. If you believe the Doctorcs nothing is wholesome;
if you believe the Theologians nothing is innocent; if you
believe the soldiers nothing is safe ... They all require
to have their strong wine diluted by a very large
admixture of insipid common sense

Not really. Usually if you're under 18 you are growing. I think by 21 you peak and start dying...

after 35 radiation treatments and a buttload of chemo I'm not too worried what this little device puts out.

Ah the Schrödinger's cat paradox.
Wait another 10 years, and if all of us are getting treated for brain and/or testicular cancer, then the guy was right. But the concern of cancer causing radiation from cell phones has been a concern since they got down to pocket size. At this point if a company -say, Apple- made a device that actually does harm their customers due to long term exposure, then they deserve all the lawsuits they get. But I would find it very hard to believe that Apple would put their consumer base in such jeopardy, as you know that all they would see is long term loss of profits.

Arnold you are a survivor. My wife is in her 18th year of remission. One day at a time. Your are in my prayers.
