Back in the days when I worked for a car booting company, I had the keys fir the locks on the boots, and one of the things on the key chain was a mini batton, you know the kind, you whip it and it extends almost 3 times it's length.
Well, it turns out it was actually a OC spray. For those that dont know, OC is police grade mace - the finely atomized kind that seems to get in every friggin nook and cranny that can do damage to you.
I missed a direct blast to my face, but still got it in my eyes, nose, mouth, lungs...everywhere. I was in a mini van when I sprayed it. Luckily we were parked, because the driver was out of the car before the spray was even finished. He knew....he knew.

Had to go to the fire station to get detoxified

That's very weird. My cat hates it when some one lifts her up, she likes to be free. What an open minded cat I have lol. But she has her times also. Sometimes she just sleeps next to you or sits on the same couch as you are, and she probably never stays alone. She loves to sit where everyone is sitting, unless we're having visitors over for dinner or something, that's when she hides till they leave. Funny cat! Lol

I always get really helpful chat when talking to Apple. However AT&T's online chat is so stupid. You may as well call them instead because i can almost vouch for everyone that you will be transferred from anywhere between 2-3 people unless the number you called has a person who is smart enough to resolve any issue you have.

I wouldnt know. Tbh even though i own an iPhone 3G and it uses an AT&T sim i have never once stepped into an AT&T store for anything.

The only time i get transferred around (which is like one transfer) is when i call an Apple Store location. Sometimes the concierge will answer ask for your issue and then direct you to either A)Apple support, or B) Genius Bar.

If I were you I'd cancel that service.

NEVER let ANY company do direct withdrawal to pay a bill. For some its convenient and hassle free. But then that turns into carefree and then you stop looking and checking when they take.

I've caught AT&T 4 times trying to rip me off with bull**** additions when my bill comes around. 4 Times with my iphone wireless bill, once with my house phone, and once when i found out they were still charging me for fast access DSL when I already switched over to U-Verse phone/tv/internet.

My wireless example was when my bill came and said $107.88. Keep in mind my bill is always 105.68 regardless... all the time. So I nit pick the bill and find they charged me extra 2 bucks for some SMS messages. I call them and im like explain to me this 2 dollar charge? the lady i spoke with looks it up, and trys to explain to me that its an AT&T service charge... i said thats BS, i have unlimited Txt, and like 1600 rollover minutes. Fix it or cancel my service since you idiots cant do a bill correctly and are trying to steal money from me. Who the hell do i write the letter to? or do I need to file a complaint with the FCC. She puts me on hold and comes back and says the charges have been adjusted Thankyou, you are a valued customer. There are other times when i was charged really bogus charges. One even went so far as to deny that i had roll over when all my paper bills say otherwise. (I keep them all filed by date... i still have the "first months bill" for my 2 year contract when i bought the iPhone 3G).

Not to mention the time when i found out before the first months bill came for U-Verse that those idiots were about to get $48.50 extra from me from some phone bundle that i never requested. Called AT&T up, asked them to explain where the hell that was going to come from. The gentlemen replies we charge that because U-Verse is a new service that requires installation... I said thats fine, but i got a promotion in the mail for all these things and registered everything up correctly with another of your representatives. I have the bundle, and promotion so there should be NO charges for erroneous crap. He replies im sorry sir, we will fix it, and have adjusted your account accordingly. Im like we will see when the bill rolls around and if everything is correct.

What im trying to stress is, check your bill all the time, make sure they are taking the correct amount and not one penny more.

You think AT&T is going to accept your payment if you are 2 dollars short?

If AT&T collects 2 dollars from 500,000 people that dont check their chargers and bills that tiny little 2 dollars ads up to be ALOT of free careless money AT&T just obtained.

That $48.50 if obtained from people who dont scrutinize their packages/bundles/services from AT&T can/could turn out to be a whopping 1.45million from just 30,000 customers.

Dont give them anything more than whats required and then still... make sure whats required is correct.

Which reminds me... I need to go and cancel my wireless service for my iphone since i wont be coming back to the US for 4 years.

Im kind of at arms about canceling though. December marks my "upgrade" date, so i could potentially waltz into the Apple store and buy a 3Gs. However what good will it do to have a 3Gs, 2 new years onto a contract and most likely a big termination fee.

I think ill most likely cancel since im so close to 2 years. The cancellation fee should be less than $30 i hope.

I have no idea what to do... My 3G is unlocked so i intended on using it in London.

Activated about a month after iDay for the 3G. I have the receipts from the Apple store when i purchased my 16gig White 3G, i just cant be bothered to go into the office to look for the exact date. But i know for sure i waited a month, because A) Wasnt going to wait hours in a queue and B) the model/colour i wanted was sold out.

Funny enough, after a month i still waited 45min in line, but got the last 16gig White Apple had. Lucky me!

I think it goes down a bit more as the months progress. Technically, your phone is paid for by the 18 month, but have fun trying to get out of paying anything.
Another thing that was pointed out to me, and why AT&T likes having the iPhone is that once your phone is paid off, your rate plan doesn't change. You still pay the premium price for the last 6 months of contract, and that's where AT&T make their money.

It's not the phone itself. It's just that I wish I was in the game back then. I can't say I remember how hard it used to be to jailbreak, or that I remember not having an official App Store, and I can't say I was there standing in line on the release day of the original iPhone - and that's what I meant.

What I can say though, is that the $300 I spent on a 3G on 7-11-08, was hands down, the best money I've ever spent. :ok:ok

I'm getting a little too sentimental over an inanimate object, so I'll stop now. :dft012:wink
