Unlocking question

I have a newer 3g, is there a way to unlock it? I know that you can unlock the older firmware. Thanks

It depends upon if your iPhone has bootloader 5.08 or not. If it does have 5.08 hard-coded into the logic board, you can unlock it. If 5.09 or higher, you're out of luck for the time being as far as a software unlock goes.

I'm sure the Dev Team is, but they won't show their hand until after the official launch. It may be some time, though.
