Subject in SMS?

I now have a field to enter the subject in the SMS. But when I tried, message sending failed. why is there this field? I can send SMSes normally with entering anything in this field.

You can shut the subject off in settings under messages. For some reason multiple recipients and now I guess subjects are sent from the iphone as mms messages which your carrier might not support until the release date.
