i just did it today and it seems kind off bootleg. like you can tell rite away that its a little off. cydia is ehh just the whole jailbroken phone doesnt not feel original at all....am i the only one that feels this way?

Like for instence the games seem to be some kind of knock off. Maybe it's because I am downloading them from cydia as oppose to a site.

I don't know, I don't do it for the games. You can get crappy games in the Apps store too, but you can't judge the phone itself or the apps store based on those crappy games. Jailbreaking can't be judged by the quality of the games you get in Cydia. That's not what it's for. It's for the freedom and root access. I do it for the theming (changing fonts, icons, docks etc), video recording and live streaming, SBSettings (quick access to settings toggles), saving YouTube files, spoofing caller ID to mess with my friends, saving my notes and SMS files, Video ringtones, and tethering.

I've been more than happy with my jailbreak. Between SBSettings, QuickGold, CyCorder, Categories, Winterboard, and Terminal, I have nothing bad to say. Oh, and we can't forget the ability to quick reply to a SMS message. No more having to back out of what you are doing to reply.

I'm sure there is. I just went the trial and error route. I figured I always had a full restore if things went wonky.

I was happy with it...switched over to the Beta 3.0 and now have the GM.

Copy and paste works much better then cydias.

I miss the Themes 5 row springboard and cycorder. I don't miss the battery drain.

Yeah, all those that I just mentioned are jailbroken apps from Cydia. All were free except PDANet. I forgot to mention a few more things I jailbreak for; live weather on my home screen, replacing the battery icon with a percentage of actual battery remaining, five icons on the dock, and copy and paste (although I won't need that one anymore once 3.0 is released).

Here's a screenshot of the live weather on my homescreen and a theme I made. There's tons of themes you can download in Cydia.

i am confused i plugged my iphone into itunes and now my apps from before the jailbreak do not work?? also i downloaded a game for the iphone but i dont know how to actually put it into the phone. when i try to do it through itunes by double clicking the file it opens in itunes and then tells it couldnt authenticate the file or somthing like that
