I made an app called HereSay that was just recently released. Was wondering if anyone had tried it yet or was willing to try it and give me their thoughts. I need some feedback from experienced iphone users. Any thoughts would be appreciated, positive or negative.

If I got the premise right it sounds cool. How precise is it though?

as percise as the phone allows, so within 100 feet.

btw, 2.0 update will allow for responding to user posts and posting pictures with comments.

Seems to be too general -- perhaps if you specialized it -- "Great Deal App" (where people post great deals at a store, for example) or "Great Vacation Tips App" (where people post about cool things at Disney, etc). Right now, it seems like an app looking for a purpose.

I was hoping to be more of a jack of all trades, not focusing on one particular industry. With more users, I hope to just create a location based repository of information. User ratings on posts are also coming in 2.0 release (1-2 weeks for 2.0 btw). Or, people just use it to do whatever they want, post silly comments, meeting new people, etc. Getting an okay response right now, but could use more.

I understand, but without a focus, you run the risk of people crapping all over it with unfocused noise posts. Give them a purpose, or else chaos ensues.

True, but I wouldn't mind a little chaos as long as people were getting some real world use or pure entertainment value out of the app. Random spaming is of course what I don't wanna see.

btw JoeT, you DLed my app yet... I would love to get your direct thoughts if you haven't.

Doing it now.

Edit: Done, two notes within 400 miles, both people announcing their locations. At 500 miles, we get 5 notes with much the same.

Yup :laugh2: I don't think anyone knows what to make of it yet.
