BiteSMS vs MySMS vs iRealSMS, unlimited text, maybe NOT.

Hello everyone and pardon my ignorance but am trying to save a buck, besides the cool features that each of this individual program can offer, Can I actually stop my sms package from ATT ? Is this as simple as buy the program, unlimited TEXT and no more sms charges from ATT ?
