Hello,
http://www.nutrex.com/lipo6x.html
Do you guys think this is a good product? I am going to start working out again from tomorrow but I don't do a lot of fitness workouts, all of them are mostly weight lifting (dumbbells and stuff). I bought the Nature's Zero Carb Isopure thing and it really did help me out but it buffed me up a little so.. I want to get back in shape, like skinny, but without having to run/jog tracks or something since that's not safe here nowadays (HIN-1) and because the club I am a member in sucks. Anyhow, a lot of friends recommended that product, but I'm not sure, so I want your advice. My friend's father buys them from abroad and sells them here, so I can buy one from him. I am Diabetic and I don't know if that has any effect?
Thanks a lot. Any advice would be appreciated.

Always consult with a physician before taking anything that can enhance your performance since you're diabetic. Since your friend gets the product from abroad, be really careful because most likely, it's not approved by the FDA so it might have some harmful side effects.
BTW...it's always a good idea to incorporate cardio in your workout. It's good for your heart & lungs. If you don't feel like doing the traditional cardio routines(running, biking, elliptical, etc...) & also don't want to disrupt your weight training routine, just decrease your rest time between sets. This will increase your respiration/heart rate. Thus, combining cardio & weightlifting. 2 birds with one stone.

Thanks for your reply, Yancy. I contacted the Doctor I went to in Cornell Hospital, New York. That's his reply when I asked about it:
Dear Tarek,
I do not recommend any of these products
It is difficult to know if they are effective or safe and there is no regulatory supervision of their production
David Brillon, MD
I am not sure... but I still really want to buy it. I have the money right now and the number of the man selling it, I can just go pick it up today so.. I really want to use it because I am pissed off of my lower weight. I used to wear size 30 jeans, now I wear 32. Sucks, doesn't it?

So you lost weight & increased your "waist" size?
If you're gonna take the plunge, please start off with very, & I mean very serving/dosage of that stuff. See how your body reacts to it. Do that for a few days because some things take time for affects to be noticeable. If everything is fine after that, you can gradually increase the serving size but keep paying close attention to your body.

i just started using this product about 2 weeks ago,i have seen a big difference in my desire to not snack/pick at food during the day
i have noticed a bit of a weight difference but i have also started eating much better at the same time i started this, imo if you feel any anxiety or increased heart rate i would stop taking this right away
on a side note i do realize that there is no such wonder drug that is going to get me looking like a super model, its all about training right, eating right and being lucky enough to have the right genetic make up.......good luck and stay at the gym

Well, I only want to take the Lipo-6X to lose the butt/belly weight, they aren't much at all but I want to be like..flat you know? I started following the diet that was given to me by the nutritionist, it always ranges from 130 - 150 calories per day, is that good? I mean if I start using the Lipo-6X pills in addition to 130 - 150 calories meals per day (and of course exercising) do you think I can get in a healthy/skinny shape with no butt and stuff?

I almost fell out of my chair when I read about the 130-150 calories a day but then I saw you reiterated 130-150 meals a day. As long as you eat at least 5 of those meals a day, your gonna do great.

Optimum interval between meals is 2-3 hours. This will increase you metabolism which will help burn more calories. I would add at least 1 more meal/snack between your lunch & your dinner.

Btw... You should avoid eating foods that have high fat grams. Especially if it's almost as high as your carbs or protein(your lunch).

There was a snack between the lunch and the dinner but the Doctor canceled it and made the dinner earlier but well, I'm thinking of adding it!

Try NO Explode just read the reviews I get mine at prosource.com I use before I run or before I lift. This stuff is incredible you take and you feel like you just took some of popye's spinach LOL. The nice thing is the pump goes away when you eat just take it about 30 mins. Before you workout I also reccommend eating more than 450 cal a day you burn that off at work I do 900 cals a day just watch your fats try some fruits and veggies.

I think they (diet pills) are all potentially dangerous. It's much safer to just decrease caloric intake, but always eat at least 1200 calories a day, and excercise at least 5x a week.

Mental note, do not check these boards (or read posts by you) when eating a meal!
Also, cutting meals and what you intake is not always a good thing because then, you're body will start to create fat to make up for it!
EDIT: Londonrocks, Hydroxycut got recalled not that long ago here. Guess the FDA or someone did studies and found it to be not so good.

Hydroxycut Banned-It’s About Time
As you may have read in the news, Hydroxycut, the wildly popular weight loss supplement, has finally been banned. The FDA has cited serious liver damage and even death in certain users.
It’s about time the FDA stepped up to the supplement companies who produce and market supplements without regulation. The multi-billion dollar supplement industry has influenced federal regulators to give them a “free ride” when it comes to producing supplements. Currently, supplements in the market don’t have to prove that they are safe or effective-or even whether they contain the ingredients they claim.
In case you don’t know the story of how supplement companies have literally getting way with murder since 1994, here is the quick and dirty version:
Orinn Hatch, the Utah senator, with huge backing from the supplement industry (which is largely based in Utah), fought against forcing supplement manufacturers to prove that their produtcs were safe. It’s bad enough to put the bottom line of corporations in your state in front of the health of the entire country. What’s even worse was that Senator Hatch’s son was a lobbyist for these same supplement companies at the same time that this law was put into effect. Can you say conflict of interest?
The situation is so out of control that even though the FDA has banned Hydroxycut, it doesn’t even know what ingredient may be causing the problem. This is due the fact that the supplement manufacturer isn’t obligated to provide the ingredient list.
Large scale, pharmactical grade safety regulations aren’t needed for supplements-which are generally safe. But to let the supplement makers get away with putting contaminated products and misleading claims on the shelves without an ounce of liability is downright criminal.

btw evo, still havent forgot... im still losing weight for the big reveal. lol, i should document this crap on youtube... maybe a vLog of me getting from 180 to 145. Im 5'7 so pretty much im not far for being medically called obese.

hey no worries buddy. just keep on it...i need to start myself. i keep putting it off.
I've taken plenty of fat burning supplements myself (light user) and never had any problem, up until a year ago. After taking a specific supplement I started having anxiety attacks which I thought were some form of heart attack, as I've never had an anxiety attack in my life. The anxiety continued for months, which I was hoping would go away on its own but never did.
I finally gave up, saw a doctor and now I'm stuck on drugs lol. Anxiety is gone thx to medication, but all doctors will tell you any energy drink/pill is bad for you. Never again will I take something like that. I hope you use your better judgment and stick to weight loss naturally. All that stuff is just dangerious chemicals and not really worth it.

Well, my Bday was recently and ever since i broke my diet i havent started again. I went from 180 to 173, but now im back at 180. Mainly this is due to the fact that im not working anymore and all i do is eat, sleep till mid day and play video games or chill with friends till late.
Tarek, im not far from Medically obese. Appearance wise, i look normal. A person can look healthy and "regular" but can be under weight, over weight etc.
Europa, since im an only child, im guessing the only way to motivate myself is to maybe get support from ppl on youtube or a blog etc. Im guessing it would be something similar to "the incredible shrinking girl/guy" weight loss diary videos. Really really impressive stuff when you see their old videos vs new ones. The other type of video is the span/change videos. The guy who grew his beard and took the same picture for 2 years or something.
Tarek do you have diabetes b/c of overweight? or do you have the other type, like one of my friends do where you have this insulin thing attached to your body or w/e. I think its Juvenile diabetes.

I have Diabetes because that was like hereditary, it's been going on in my father's family. I got it when I was four years old, and it's the Type 1 Diabetes not the Type 2 that you're talking about. And no, I take insulin shots (injections) this one
http://rum1.aarch.dk/uploads/pics/Novopen.jpg
but with a much shorter needle. I don't want anything attached to my body (either externally or internally) because I play soccer sometimes and you know soccer can be dangerous sometimes.

Ah, i didnt know it was hereditary. I thought you just get it.
There was a Diabetes FML i read once where the kid was expelled from school after the lunch lady saw him "shooting up". Turns out he was giving himself insulin thru a injection pen before eating the school lunch.

Tarek, check into the Insulin pumps if you ever get a chance. The pump is really small, kind of like a pager, but they work great for keeping the glucose level very stable by giving you regular small doses of Insulin. They use a really small/short subcutaneous needle that is flush with the skin and then you secure it with a bandage and then change the needle every few days. It would take a lot to knock it out, and even if you did, it wouldn't be dangerous. You'd probably be ok to play Soccer with it, but if otherwise, you could just remove it and replace it after. I'd use one for sure if I had Juvinelle Diabetes. They really help to decrease the spikes and can help prolong your life by minimizing the amount of time that your gluc is above 200.

I heard a lot about it from different Doctors but my parents are afraid of that you know, and so am I. The pump is not famous in Egypt, at all, and that's why I don't want to venture and buy it from another country then get lost trying to buy equipment for it every few days. I am pretty fine with using injections so far, well, I've been using them since I was four years old so you know. I think I'll just wait till the pump becomes famous in Egypt, used by a lot of people, then maybe I'll go ahead and get one. I know it saves time and every thing, but I'm old school when it comes to these stuff.
The easiest and best way to lose weight is simply cut down on the intake.
Recently, I had an event in my life that actually killed 90% of my appetite for the last 3 weeks. one meal a day at most. I've dropped about 25 lbs or more at this point.
At this rate, it's not healthy weight loss. It was extreme and I wasn't exactly in control.
BUT, if you drink more healthy liquids and trim down the portions and keep active, you can easily start dropping weight. The biggest part of the battle is to cure poor eating habits. it is not necessary to clean your plate, put the fork down between bites, and eat slowly. Mix that with healthy meals.
Eat to live and not live to eat - as the saying goes. You should walk away from any meal feeling satisfied but NOT full. Once you get used to that, you monitor your portions to what is healthy (unlike how I lost weight) and just keep active. Even walking a mile is enough. It takes about 3 days to feel the difference, 5-7 to see it, and 15 to plateau. Once you plateau, there is only one way to go without real exercise... back up.

Uhh Hawk... I always thought if you ate less like one meal a day, your body will retain its weight.
Yes, initially it will, but after 3 days of the barest amounts of food, your body starts burning off it's "reserve" (fat cells) to keep you going. The average human can go without any food for about 3 days. 2 weeks without water. After those points, you die.
What happened to me was that initially I couldn't hold down food. Then I just had no interest in eating. Hunger came and went so fast it wasn't even a thought most of the time. Of course, I should throw out there that I smoke, and when this all started, I went from 1 pack a day to 2. That also stifled my appetite.
And I am not saying that what happened to me is anything anyone should attempt. I am just showing that it is very possible to adjust your eating habits to burn body fat.
Thats more or less what the Atkins diet is. All protein intake, no carbs of any kind. You enter into a state of Kitosis (key-toe-sis not sure of the correct spelling) where the body is not getting carbs, thinks it's starving because there is no immediate fuel to feed the cells with, so it hits the reserves, which is your fat cells. when it starts burning that, you drop weight pretty quick until you plateau. working out after that point will help push you further. My wife does this diet all the time, and personally I think it's really abusing the body, because she doesn't maintain healthy eating habits afterwards.

And for those that don't know, my marriage has hit a very rocky point. bad enough that I started filling out divorce paperwork. But she and I are trying to work things out, and hopefully over the next few weeks we can come to a better understanding of each other. It sux, especially since we haven't even been married for 3 years yet. The scary part is that I am discovering things about her I have never known before, and some I'm not quite sure I can handle. At this point only time and counseling can help us reach the final outcome.

I know this has nothing to do with me, but if you think you two are totally different and incompatible, then I suggest you go separate ways because that wouldn't be a successful marriage. If you both are willing to change yourselves for a better marriage, then be it! Good luck and I hope you move on to a much better point in your life.
Yeah, unfortunately, it's a bit one-sided in that regard. I've been getting the "this is who I am" statement recently, and I'm sitting here thinking "this isn't who you were"...
Again, I am putting my best foot forward to fix things. Only time will tell if it's worth the journey.
PS, I have my appetite back. I just don't eat the portions I used to.

Ive heard of the key-to-sis diet thing. All it does is kinda starve the body of carbs so that the body uses its fat to fuel it. The issue is, fat cells only last so long with energy and once your body has burned up the 1stage of reserves you plateau. When you work out the additional strain will force the body to burn stage 2 reserves of fat, which i think is dangerous. The diet does work tho, you WILL lose the pounds but when you plateau its so hard to keep things moving.
When the body is starved (lets say stranded on island) Your body will burn the calories it currently has. Around day 3 of just water and scraps you can find to eat the body will try to sleep and keep you out of exertion for as long as possible. Day 4-5 you'll start pulling from fats. After this stage, the body will pull from fats, and other nutrients and draw them towards the core. Things like nails moisture content etc. Once there is no more fat to pull (note the body will not consume the fat around the heart) it'll start taking from the muscles. After this stage, mental instability irrationality ensues with the onset of the self preservation instinct we all have. Sleep comes then im guessing death. Im guessing this would be close to what would happen.
I love the human body, it can take so much yet we only tap about 5% of what it can do.
Back to dieting, anyone heard of the Banana diet? I swear this diet is obliterating asia. Its been on the rise starting in Korea, its spread to HK, and recently the entire islands of Japan have been sold out of banana's. If you youtube banana diet you'll be in for a shock.
The way it works is you have 1 or 2 whole ripe (yellow) bananas in the morning with a full glass of water then eat like regular thru the day.
What are your thoughts maybe sum1 can explain to me how this is working?
Hawk i hope whatever the outcome things turn out for the better.

I know how that is. I pretty much lived on Slim Fast for the first two weeks after my best friend died in 2003. My husband and I were talking about divorce one month after we got married. Major clashes when we first started living together, but after about 3 months we had it worked out and ended up staying together and had a great marriage for 7 years, then I found out some crazy stuff and started to drift apart from him so when he rejoined the military, I chose to stay behind and then 2 years later we got divorced. We're back together now (casually), but not married. Good luck with everything. These things suck. If you can somehow learn to live with those things, I say try to work it out.

They are some of the healthiest overweight people. If anything, they are like endurance swimmers with alot of fat. If you see their training regime/diet its all very carefully controlled and they are extremely well respected.
People in asia are image conscious to the point of having that body image disorder or Dorian grey syndrome. The latest trend now is to have corrective double eyelid surgery. It makes the eyes less "asian" and more caucasian. The ones who are born with double eyelids are considered more desirable. *yay for me*.
