iphone unlock sim suddenly not working?

I recently had to resort to using an unlock sim card for my iphone for 2.2.1. It worked perfectly, but just randomly yesterday it began saying no service... and it wont go away. luckily i have another unlock card, but again, it says no service after going through the process... does anyone have any suggestions, tips, guides, or anything that can make me not want to throw my iphone onto the 401?

that is the problem with turbosims, they fail for no particular reason and fixing them can be a real PITA. is your iphone a 3G version or original?

3G. The spare sim i have worked like 5 minutes after this was posted.. i just wanna know why the other stopped working, and what to do, if there is a way to fix it..

no clue on turbosims, my only experience is with software unlock. i know it seems painfully obvious, but have you tried turning your phone off and on, doing a soft reset, or even a restore via itunes? not sure why any of it would help, but its something to try because what you are doing right now isn't working. hope you get it figured out.

thanks.. i dunno its weird.. got em both the same time... tried one.. couldnt get it to work.. tried the other.. it worked.. now theyve switched.. so.. i made the mistake of going to 2.2.1 accidently.. so.. i miss that method...

have you checked to see if you can downgrade your baseband? I have 2.2.1 but my baseband is downgradeable. DL fuzzyband in cydia.
