I currently have a v1 and need to upgrade (wifi not working and case is broken) Here are my lists of questions.

If I get a 3g (today) would I still be able to RECEIVE video messages? or would i need the 3gs?
Would I still be able to Jailbreak the new 3g?
I think that 3.0 is good enough and will not really use the camera all that much anyway. What do you think?

U dont need 3GS for receiving the Videos. MMS works with 3G, not with the original iphone

I dont care about video recording just being able to get video messages. I would assume that I could get that with the 3g. Can't really justify another 100.00 with a wedding in the next year and only a few upgrades. I think the 3g will be a big enough jump from my v1 that it would be worth it.

Once AT&T gets MMS working "later this summer", MMS will be just as functional - both ways - on the 3G as it is on the 3GS. Only the V1 is left out.

My guess is MMS will be avaible next year, right in time for the next iPhone roll out.
