Hi folks. I've been transferring some of my cds to itunes. Most of them work fine, but some of them aren't recognized by Gracenote or whatever site is sorting the music.

Some of my cds get the message that it is not recognized and do I still want to download.

They then get sorted as simply track 1-10 or whatever. It's difficult to find the artist and specific song to play.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there a site or app that I can use to get itunes to recognize my music? It's not like I am downloading obscure stuff, most of it is pretty mainstream although maybe a bit old.

Sorry for the simplistic question, but it's driving me nuts.

No one has a suggestion for me? It's really annoying and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. When I inser the cd it will say that it is accessing the gracenote media database to find the names of the songs. It then comes back and says it couldn't find the names of the songs and asks if I want to download it anyway. If I click yes, it just lays the tracks down on my iphone as track 1 to track 10, kind of useless when using the ipod.

Any advice?

I think I've got it. I tried switching browsers and that seems to have done the trick. I have no idea why it wouldn't like Firefox, but live and learn I guess.

a lot of my albums aren't recognized, so i first add the artist and album name, then later go back and add song names.
