Yeah so I think the touchscreen when out for like no reason at all the phone has never been dropped and its never seen water. I bought the phone end of February will apple cover this ? What will ATT tell me if I take into there store ? Also there is an apple store about 30 mins from my house at the local mall will I possibly have to make an APT out there to go and get it fixed or do I just send it in to apple and they will send me a new one ? I've never had a iPhone that crapped out on me so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks:smile::laugh2:

What happens when you connect to iTunes?
Put it in DFU mode and restore of to factory settings. If the problem persists after a restore, you'll have to have to take it to the Genius bar. You could also send it to Apple, but I'd say just take it in since you have one fairly close. That way, you dont jave to go without a phone all week. It will certainly be covered as long as there is no visible damage or water damage. Just be sure not to take it in jailbroken, if it is jailbroken.

i would have to agree with europa, as long as there is no physical or water damage, it will be covered. hope you get it fixed.

I have gone through this problem twice. Both times I went to Apple store and they replaced them for me. The first time I went to AT&T first and they told me I had to take it to Apple. I had no problems getting a new one either time from Apple store.

Yay they gave me a brand new one. The guy replaced the whole screen because he thought that was the problem but that still didn't fix it so I got a fresh one. I'm happy now thanks Apple.

Yeah he gave it to guy around back and then 5-10 mins he came back out with the phone and plugged it back up and that didn't sold the problem so he was like guess your getting a brand new one and I was like YAY!

When I went to the Apple store a couple of weeks ago some fool gave the genius his jailbroken iphone to fix. The genius guy was cool about it though and told him he would have to go home and restore it because he couldn't help him if there were 3rd party apps on it. Most Geniuses probably wouldn't have been so nice.
