I was reading wikipedia again and it said that iPhone os version 3.0 will be released on 7/15/2009. Can anyone confirm or deny this? I'd be really pissed if it was true.

There is absolutely no confirmation of anything until the WWDC on Monday.

Why would you be pissed? 2.0 wasn't released until 7-11-08. Apple has been pretty consitent with the summer releases, so there really is no reason to expect it any sooner than late June.

No one will know until they announce it monday. Last year I heard they released another beta during WWDC, so monday will be when we find out.

Some of us are already on the beta 3.0, and it is pretty solid. There are a few kinks that need worked out but I am sure Apple is aware of them and they will be fixed by the final 3.0. I don't know what happened last year because I started off with a 3g, unless you mean them trying to activate phones, start mobile me, update itunes, and update original iphones all on one day.
