I would like to try the slingbox pro-hd and get the slingplayer app but only on wi-fi. Is anyone using this unit and what is your opinion? Thanks

I have the Slingbox Solo, so I really can't help you here...:frown:

That's okay, thanks.
I think I'll just get it, fathers day is coming up anyway:smile:

It looks great streaming from the Solo, though!

If you;re just using the slingplayer to stream to an iphone, a Pro HD is unnecessary. i just upgraded from a solo, and the quality is the same on the iphone. You would really only see a benefit on devices with larger screens... OR if you wanted to hook up multiple devices.

it is also worth mentioning that HD streaming to Macs is currently NOT supported, so if you're a mac user, don't expect HD just yet.

Ok, that sounds good. I see the Solo only has one connection and that would connect to my cable box? If so, that's all I need.
