I just recently purchased an Iphone 3g and was wandering if there's anything I should know as far as being an iPhone owner like things to look out for and what not kind of a things to do and things not to do thanks in advance. So far things I have done for protection is an Ifrogz case and a screen protector what else should I know like how often to reboot and what not?

Perhaps you should know that a newer iPhone will be announced next week with a release date in July.

I'm telling all my friends who want to get an iPhone to wait until next week's announcement.

When the 3.0 FW is officially released, you will have the ability to both, send and receive MMS. Some of the lucky beta testers have this working already. It will be with you soon enough.

Your going to laugh but i can only send- it makes me furious knowing that my phone has the capability to do it yet they make me wait..

but... as the world evolves email on phones is becoming the norm.. so sending pictures through email is just as easy.

my only advice is protect it. ALWAYS.

the one time i forgot to put my in my leather holster/case, it fell out of my hoodie pocket onto the garage floor (concrete) and cracked the screen. its not bad at all... but its the point, you NEVER KNOW!!!

(and personally, i always look at my surroundings before i take it out. there always seems to be one moron at the mall or borders or whatever that wants to touch it or "see it")

you make it sound as if it's a precious stone thats been dug out the ground underneath an old volcano in the middle of the pacific :)

(i agree though. Buy a good case. It'll pay for itself- Trust me)

Some people reboot every day just to keep things running smoothly. I think doing a bit of searching and reading about apps before you use them is wise...especially if you decide to jailbreak. You already have a case and screen protector.

Yes I already do have a case and screen protector. How do you reboot?

Hold down the power button at top of phone until "slide to power off" appears. Power it off and then hit the same button to turn it back on.
