Iphone Update to 2.2.1

Hi Team,

I am using iphone 3g v 2.1. Original
Few games are not downloading saying that not compatible.

My question is if i update to 2.2.1 will i be able to play all those apps.

also i am from india if i update to 2.2.1 will i get baseband issue and No service......

because i read in most of the forums that if u update 2.2.1 u will not get signal and u will only see no service.....
Once again i am from india ... my mobile bought in india and still in warranty........

please solve my issue as soon as possible

Updating should not cause you any problems with phone service since you have a factory unlocked phone. Theproblems you have read about occur on phones purchased in the US, which are software unlocked. Updating a software unlocked phone can cause it to lock.

has ur fone been legally broken when u bought in india? If its legally broken, updation will least cause an issue. If its not legally broken, ensure that u DONT UPGRADE TO 2.2.1, otherwise u wud end up having a brick ;-)

If u are from india and ur carrier is either Bharti Airtel OR Vodafone Essar, u should be fine. I say: update only if your phone is not jailbroken. I'm pretty sure that indian iphones are legally unlocked so it should go well. enjoy ur wider range of apps lol :)
