MS Exchange Server Deleted emails

My boss just got an iPhone, moving over from a BlackBerry.

We configured it to sync with our MS exchange server, and he is getting his emails, contacts, and calendar entries just fine.

He wants to be able to delete an email message on the iPhone, but have the message stay on the server, so he can have access to the message when he gets back to the office. That is what he is used to from the BB.

Right now, though, any time a message is deleted in one spot (iPhone or PC) it is deleted at the other spot as well.

Is there a setting we can change to stop this from happening?

I wouldn't be surprised if you could but I'm not aware of it.

Not sure the type of work your boss is involved with but it sounds like a learning curve for him to get used to having mail left on his phone.

I'll poke around and see if I find anything... maybe he can use POP to pull the emails down and that way he can delete and whatever without effecting the server.
