mod to keep iphone thinking its on 3g??

Last night my friend told me about a hack in cydia that tricks the iphone into thinking its on 3G ALL the time. basically keeping it from switching to edge and breaking my data connection. I need to find the name of the hack or the source for cydia. does anyone know the name of it? i googled but didnt even know exactly how to word my search. thanks in advance for any help!

It's called VoIPover3G, you can get it in Cydia. Although I don't know if it will work for that. It's used to trick apps into thinking that they are on WiFi when they are really on 3G. It's very useful for apps like Skype and SlingPlayer that are limited to WiFi.

I don't think that's it. Anyone else have any idea? Or anyone who could make this kinda mod. I hate when my downloads give errors cause it switches networks. It happens even if I don't move the phone sometimes.

the app in cydia that does this is "Tricker ThreeG"

I just read about Tricker ThreeG and it looks like it does the exact same thing that VoIPover3G does.
