View Full Version : Can't "Slide" ANYTHING!

I seem to have lost the ability to "slide" on my 4Gb iPhone. I can't unlock it. I can't answer a call. I can't even get to the voicemail left by the caller I missed, because it requires that I "SLIDE"!
My phone is fully charged and, yes, I'm using my fingertip.
Anyone else experiencing this?

Time for a restart.
Press and hold the sleep button (top right) and the home button (middle front) together for 20 seconds or so, until the phone restarts and you see the Apple logo.
That should fix things I hope.

NP - the old reboot seems to fix most software issues :)

You did the full reset where you press the home and power buttons together?
You have to do both if you want a full reset.
It happened to me this morning also, did the reset now everything is fine

what happens if you connect the iPhone to your computer - can you still see it in iTunes and maybe do a re-load from there?

Well, unless someone else has any other ways to reset - I'd say this is a return to store issue - time to swap for a new iPhone I think.
What were you doing when it first locked up?
