Is there a way to manualy sync the music I select. I have 165gig of music I need to pick and choose. I also am new to the itunes software and feel it is mighty slow when accessing my library of music compared to zune or windows media.

There is no manual sync like there was on previous iPods. Your options are:
1. Setup one or mutliple playlists/smart playlists of music you want on your iPhone
2. Set the iPhone to sync only checked items and just check the music you want on the phone

Exactly!

I just created a playlist in iTunes called iPhone, the manually put the tracks into that playlist that I wanted to sync onto the iPhone.

Then when the iPhone was connected and sync ready, I simply checked the box for syncing only this playlist in iTunes, hit APPLY, and voila, I have manual sync in all but name.

hmm so what if I were to load a movie or music from another computer/ iTunes account. How would that work?

At 3 minutes a song that would equal out to 2250 hours of music. (and thats probably on the low end.)

Thats a lot of music.

Each iTunes track can be licensed to work on up to 5 computers.
