Out of curiosity, how will you do this? The Dev-Team (http://blog.iphone-dev.org/) has said that yellowsn0w only works on 3G phones with the 2.28.00 baseband, which is definitely not going to be in 3.0 (my 3G has the 4.26.04 baseband on 3.0 beta 4 right now).

there are rumors that the devteam are holding out tell 3.0 so they can keep the yellowsnow exploit in the baseband for the next iphone, alsso it would be in the 3g 4.26 baseband so it would be a quick unlock

rumors aren't always. last rumor i heard was iPhone nano, that wasn't even true. And I had the 3.0 beta but I hated it, was too laggy. Had to downgrade to 2.1 again
