Does it look good?

http://www.onelinkmovies.com/http://i42.tinypic.com/wkfiwm.jpg

I just changed the position of my taskbar and I find it really cool looking that way, as if it's a sidebar that has almost all of the applications I need in the Quick Launch.

Tell me what you think.

Thank you guys. Pepe, I like the Mac's visual style and desktop look more than Windows' of course. I just feel more comfortable using Windows, don't know why, but maybe because I like to play online games lol.

Nice desktop, London. I know an application that does all that but I'm too lazy to install and keep customizing :D.

Do small icons on the Quick Launch bar look better than large ones? I like the icons smaller better.

Fantastic setup, what program do you use to continually rotate your wallpapers? I manually rotate between a few every couple of days, but i'd love to just have it do it automatically.

Mac does it for you.

If you have leopard, in the System prefs, click "Desktop and Screen Saver," then click the option, "Change Picture"

I have a folder with maybe... 50 wallpapers in it that I use, and my wallpaper changes every 5 seconds.

I like those dock icons. Did you use candybar? Is it easy to use? The backgrounds are beautiful. I love going to deviantart there is alot of talent there.

I love D-Art. Alota people there with alota talent, but not all of my wallpapers come from there. As far as candybar? I have no clue what that is, the icons are standard icons from Leopard.

In system prefs, click on desktop & screensaver and in the left menu, select an album book of pictures from iPhoto, or use the Leopard ones. Click "change picture" choose the timer, and click "random order". Thats all there is to it.

This is my fav Deviantart wallpaper:http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m157/LondonRockz568/Picture1-1.png

And you call yourself a mac user? jk

Idk dude I just google stuff...I'm new to macs.
As far as changing icons you can copy and paste them lol (much easier than windows)
The facebook app is called amigo. I'm guessing you dont know what growl notifications are either? Download growl and you will really be linked to your updates.

Thanks, I just collected the icons from the web. There may be an easier way to do it, but this is how I do it; Once you have the new icon that you want to use saved, go to applications, choose an app that you want to change the icon on, right click on it, and choose "get info". Leave that box open. Now go to the folder you have your new icon in and open it, right click on the icon, and go to "get info". Now, in the upper left corner of the info box there will be a small image of the new icon, left click on it once to highlight it and then hit command c. Now go back to the info box for the application and left click the default image that is in the upper left corner to highlight it and hit command v. The new icon image should now appear. If you want to go back to the original icon, just highlight the icon as you did before and hit delete.

The wallpaper is a boot screen I use for Ubuntu (Linux), but you can get the image here. http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/USplash+Theme+Fingerprint?content=93826&PHPSESSID=6d8e58f7c6209622f25bbe516a87f859

This is definitely off topic but I mentioned earlier that I didn't know how to "thank" a user for helping. I was assuming someone might answer it without me having to jack the thread. but can someone explain how you thank someone on this forum? Thanks.

You get that privelege after you reach a minumum amount of posting. I think it is 25 posts. But I am not sure of that, you would have to look into the rules. Once you reach that number you will get the ability to thank.

Londonrockz568

After a certain post count i think, you will see the thank button next to

If you want a very good application to play with your Mac's appearance (as in themes, icons, and every thing else) then go ahead and download this

http://i3.tinypic.com/2igc9pv.jpg

http://rapidshare.com/files/12153357/ShapeShifter_2.4.zip

Max Themes, by Max Rudberg - www.maxthemes.com
Swizcore Studios, by Kevin Husted - www.swizcore.com
ResExcellence - www.resexcellence.com
MacUpdate - www.macupdate.com
MacThemes - www.macthemes.net
InterfaceLIFT - InterfaceLIFT.com

Those are also some sites to get themes for Shape Shifter if you don't find what you want.

Good luck, I haven't installed it yet because I am not a fan of playing with themes and stuff, I'd rather setup a whole transformation pack than keep changing every little bit myself LOL.

lol, and so the modding begins slowly but surely.
http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m157/LondonRockz568/Picture1-2.png

As you can see, i have a few icons there that are modded. Im still trying to figure out how to do a dock in a different colour also how to mod the LED's on it.

London, you can download new docks here http://leoparddocks.com/Browse_Leopard_Docks_Designs.php and this tutorial shows how to change them.
