i saw that do think that apple will make it compatible with windows, or will microsoft mkae something simaliar?

The X-box 360 has one built in. It allows you to stream video/pictures/music from a PC running XP Media Center edition. If you have a TV capture card in your PC you can also use it like a Tivo to time shift TV shows.
