I thought this would be a fun idea. Post some pictures to any disturbing images you can find, as long as it's within reason (ie no dismembered body parts/limbs etc., unless it's approved)

Let's see how long this can last...I'll post first.

I wouldnt recomend trying to move them. They are heavy, and VERY VERY strong. Alot stronger than Humans. They crack coconuts open and eat the inards. Imagine what they can do to fingers, arms, skull, legs.

You and me both... Im not scared of spiders but seriously something that alien looking and huge needs drastic measures.

I'd improvise on the raid with a lighter. insecticide flames rofl. (im scared of waterbugs/palmetto bugs (flying huge roaches)/roaches, and if i see one im scared to spray it since spraying them makes them fly/run. And if i cant find the dead body i dont sleep) But flame spraying them always works... my whole house is tile.

Gene splicing has its advantages.

If they figured out how to splice a few select genes of a newt with human genes, we'd beable to regrow limbs if they were cut off.

It'll all come around. Just like how im for Stem Cell research because it will benefit humanity. If someone can look past their religions which (in my opinion are irrelevant since most of them dont even account for technologies), and the overall public ignorance one would learn that the umbilical cord and placenta (the very things we throw away after a successful birth) contain all the stem cells a person needs to do whatever. Its a win win situation, the baby isnt killed, and the benefits remain.

Most of the time, the only soul agenda for a scientist to splice or make chimeras is to make the perfect being, immune from damage, virus, etcs.

Psychological reasons for people to become grossly over weight. I met a Methodist minister that was easily in the 400lbs range. He worked at losing the weight and it almost killed him because his body couldn't handle the strain of filtering everything out of his kidneys. He ended up losing one. After that, his doctor stated that the healthiest thing to do was maintain a regular diet of good foods in the portions he currently consumed.
The reason for his size was an over active thyroid gland. It had nothing to do with laziness or gluttony.

Well, part of it is learning how to eat right; when your thyroid is hyperactive, you can pound down tons of food each day and not gain an ounce. :smile:
