Holy crap... just when I think I can go another year without a digital SLR, you have to go and pull out some **** like this. Damnit! :D
Seriously, beautiful work. Looks like you had a stellar day!

Thanks! It's started out pretty rough because the sun was so high. As the day went on, I got in the zone with better lighting.

Can I ask if these were stock lenses? I have a feeling they weren't...

I've been looking at a D-SLR as well. I used 2 of my friends' D-SLRs and loved them. I believe one was a D80 and the other a D90? Does that make sense?

Thanks everyone! The lens I used was a Nikon Nikkor 18-200mm VR. The kit lens that came with camera is fairly decent but I didn't want to carry 2 different lenses around so I opted for the 18-200mm which covers such a wide focal range.

Great photos! I love zoos and luckily for me my daughter does too, so we have a good excuse to go often. Love big cats in particular ...

great shots. i have a D60 also and the same lens you used. Great combo.
Wow!
Love the Leopard and Snake shots!
I love taking pictures at the zoo, I have to go by myself sometime because my wife gets frustrated when all I'm doing is taking pictures. :tounge:

Yeah my GF gets irritated at times as well but I just start pointing the camera at her which always makes her turn around & walk away. lol

Nice pictures. Did you use any filter on those shots?

Thanks! Technically, yes, I did have a UV filter but I just use it to protect my lenses.
