So last night my daughter(6 months) got a hold of my phone and started biting the top like there's no tomorrow. When I finnaly seen this i noticed that the top half of my screen doesn't respond to my touch. I'm thinking that her drool got through the ear piece and could have affected the inside :frown: Any tips/help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

 The only thing that might help is to turn the phone off, put it in a bag of rice and let it sit in a dark place for a few days. That seems to be the general consensus around here when phones get wet ;)

The slide to power off is on the top half that don't work. Just my F&*king luck! I'm trying to kill that battery as we speak.

It should work again once it dries out.

Do you know if a hair dryer could speed up this process or should I just stick to the rice technique?

That sucks dude. I'd probably try the rice thing. Like the above poster wrote, that seems like the common cure all for wet phones. Good luck!

As soon as I get home I'll do it. Should've asked this earlier but how does rice help this?

rice absorbs moisture.
and have you tried holding the power button till it shuts off? you dont necessarily need to slide the "slide to power" button to turn it off, hold it long enough and it shuts down.

I wouldn't use a hair dryer, direct extreme heat like that is just as bad for the components as the moisture. The rice will suck it bone dry. It just takes a couple days.

Hold the power and home button till it shuts off. Easy as that. :)
