I bought the iphone just after it came out on ebay, it had been unlocked, it's version 1.0.2 (1C28) with modem firmware 03.14.08_G , I need to restore the phone as i'm unable to install any software properly any more, i've downloaded the winstallergui and apparently i need to do the 'return to jail' option, i've put the iPhone1,1_1.0.2_1C28_Restore.ipsw image in the appropriate folder, and it's all ready to restore, but i'm based in the UK and dont have an at&t contract sim chip to put in the phone, is it possible for me to restore the phone, then unlock it again without that sim chip? I've tried scouring the net, and this forum seems to be the best place to come to for help, can someone please help?:laugh2:
