View Full Version : MMS icon in Messages app not there anymore.

I updated to 3.0 Beta 2 today and at the beginning it was present but not anymore. Does anyone have the same problem and is there a fix for this? This is just weird.

What is your version number and where did you get the file? The "camera" icon in messaging is not present in some versions, or in the beta 1. Most I have seen that reported no camera icon in beta 2 were from carriers other than AT&T in the US.

Its supposed to be version 2 of the beta 3.0. I got it from a torrent since I'm not a developer but my UDID is activated. Could it be the file I updated to activate tethering?

if u update to tether, you loose MMS.

Yes, not by apple but by everyone that i have seen that updates to activate tethering looses the MMS camera icon and function

There is an ipcc file out there that activates both and it works on the second beta. I posted it in one of the threads around here.

I had this same problem before, what happened to me was more sever, i couldnt connect to the internet and the mms icon wasn't there. To fix you have to restore as a new iPhone and it should work, then get the ipcc file from one of these threads and install it... I haven't tried the tethering all though i have it, i am afraid i guess!

MMS use is hit-or-miss as it is anyway...

I found the file and updated it. It is now there but doesn't work anyway.

Oh and I also have the tethering and it does work pretty well over Bluetooth.

Shutter13, dont suppose you have the link for that file? Im after the UK o2 version? i dont want to risk a google / torrent search, i have no idea on these files, and dont know whether i could do damage or not with a corrupt file?
