Okay, but where would the headphones plug in, let alone the sync cable? Now headphones could be replaced by forcing us to buy the forthcoming stereo bluetooth but what about the cable?

I know that picture was posted in this thread (http://www.everythingicafe.com/forum/future-iphones/nextgeniphone-predictions-on-new-hardware-and-release-dates-40204.html) a while back. It is quite long though and frequently updated.

L.I. You could technically make it completely wireless by using Bluetooth stereo headsets like you said, and you could get rid of the cable by using wireless syncing with iTunes and a wireless charging dock (like the Palm Pre).

i would love to have a completely wireless phone, but this would go against the announcement apple made of the new feature in 3.0 allowing accessories to have their own native apps to run on the iphone,

Technically no it doesn't. I believe they said accessories could access the iPhone through the dock OR Bluetooth. So it is still possible to be completely wireless.

I just don't like it that thin. Seems it would feel weird in hand when talking on the phone.

I am really dubious about this "100% wireless device" I just think it opens up a whole load of other issues. At the 3.0 announcement, the diabeties (sic) tester and windflute (crazy ass thing) had to be physically connected to the Iphone!!

Very, very good catch. That would lead me to believe that there has to be at least some form of physical connectivity.

Nice, but I don't think it will be that thin... at least not this year.
