iPhone beta 2 text lag

Has any one expereinced a lag in the text messages. I am typing normal then all of a sudden it does like one letter every 10 sec, its staring to get annoying because i text a lot and i have to start to continuosly restart the phone..

Anybody else expriencing this?

I'm sure these little niggles will be worked out by the time the public release is rolled out.

The lag from the first beta is gone and new, smaller lags have popped up. But I think they're heading in the right direction. By release, I'm expecting it to zip along faster than 2.2.1

I get it mainly when i text messaging.. annoying but its beta!

I get this too. Pretty frustrating but hey, we asked for it as beta testers. If restarting the Messages app doesn't fix it, try writing the text in Notes and then cutting and pasting it in Messages. Yeah it sucks, but it's faster than having to restart your whole phone.

This happens to me at least a dozen times a day. The only fix that works for me is to reset the phone. It gets quite annoying.

my text lag is accompanied by the audio cutting out, hopefully this is addressed in beta 3, it is my only bug so if the take care of it ill be running smooth

Same for me. beta 1 was horrible lag in SMS and beta 2 fixed it mostly. I find more apps are crashing in beta 2 though.

Surprisingly, i have found more lag in beta 2 than i did in one, and like Dave, i look for the lag! ;)

I would agree. I've got fewer bugs but more lag now.

Few bugs and little to no lag. Although I didn't have that many problems with the first beta, but I did have text lag.

Only bugs I have noticed is loss of sound, and text lag, other then that it all seems to work fine.

I don't get lag when I'm typing but I do get it when I try to pull up the keyboard upon first opening the SMS app. Sometimes the keyboard won't come up at all. If I just hit back and then re-enter the conversation it fixes it every time though.

i have this issue too, but i have to hit the home button and then go back into the message app to get it to work

i figured out that when its lagging during texting just switch to silent mode and it just goes away instantly. weird.

I leave mine in silent switch mode about 99% of the time, that's probably why I never had the lag problem as much as others.

Another fix for lag (sometimes) is changing from normal view to widescreen in a text.
