Is there a way to actually stop a song rather than just pause it (other than letting a playlist play all the way through until all the songs are over)? I don't like how the iPod app keeps running in the background so I stop it with the processes add on in SB settings, but how do you do stop it on a non JB phone without rebooting the phone? Even when I let a playlist play all the way through, the app keeps running in the background. I know backgrounder will let you force quit apps, but I'm looking for a non-JB answer just out of curiosity.
Thanks

Pausing a song is the same as stop. It doesn't really run in the background and won't drain the battery any faster.
Read thru this thread. (http://www.everythingicafe.com/forum/iphone/how-do-you-turn-off-ipod-in-iphone-24032.html)

Thanks, I just read through the thread you linked. It's not battery life I'm worried about, it's system memory. I'll just hold the home button for 8 seconds to force quit when not JB and processes in SBsettings when JB.
