carriers says (null) (null) after reverting back to 2.2.1

ok so i reverted back from beta 2... using the steps that everyone else used. but now i have no service, and my carrier says (null) (null). it did the same thing when i tried it off of the beta 1. i had to restore to 3.0 again to get service back, but then i couldnt downgrade until i installed beta 2. i kept getting error 1604 before the firmware would even install.

any ideas my phone is activated in itunes...

Do it again, but instead of opening quickpwn and jailbreaking...after you reset the phone, close quickpwn and let iTunes activate your phone. Once your phone is activated (has the message on the phone itself that it is activated) and you have told itunes to restore from back up or setup as a new phone...then you can jailbreak.
