That's cool, but now that I think about it I dont really have any reason to jailbreak except for winterboard and cycorder and i can do without both of those

Yep, Apple is finally figuring out the only way to keep us from jailbreaking...by giving us the jailbreak features :) They'll do video this summer and then all that's really left is themes.

Just a note for everyone. Just did the 3.0 jailbreak, and thus far, winterboard doesn't work, nor does backgrounder.

Haven't tried too many yet. Mostly jailbroke for winterboard and backgrounder. Can't really try PDANet since I have no signal at home :( Seems like Icy and Cydia don't play well...Can't launch Cydia after installing it

Im not gonna try this cause i got my MMS working and MMS is pretty high up on my list of things that i wanted for my iPhone so ya i dont wana take the chance cause i just got it working after an 1hr plus on the phone. unless anyone else with AT&T MMS works and is not jail broke im not gonna. ill wait till the initial release. also from my opinion 3.0 is almost ready for public release. just got to get damn AT&T to get MMS working on all iPhones lol. a couple more beta should be good. cause it works really well right now!

Pretty happy with it so far, just wish I could do the themes is the big reason for the jailbreak. The landscape on everything is just awesome. What did you have to do to get MMS working?

i actually tried the jailbreak, and tried winterboard and sbsettings, but the phone wouldnt respring so i thought i would just reboot... phone never came back on!!!!!!! sat at apple logo for a while. had to put stock beta 2 back on... i think i may just wait till the real thing...

I'm not gonna get too crazy trying jailbreak apps until the official one is out for it. So annoying having to restore it ;)

When you jailbreak it, don't select activate. Activate it before you do the jailbreak and you should be set

Don't know if something went wrong in the process but virtually every jIlbreak app I wanted didn't work on 3.0....don't recommend jailbreaking til final 3.0 breaks. The ICE app kicks ass tho!

its the Jailbreaking 'hub' launcher app put on the device after jailbreaking used to install a jailbreaking app...(takes the place of cydia)...launches things much quicker.

Icy is way quicker. I had to downgrade to 2.2.1 since I just got my phone replaced. Anyone know if I can get Icy installed? Cydia is nice, but slow as hell

Very few of the apps will work on 3.0. They aren't configured for it yet. Someone posted I think on this thread about it, that the developers won't port the apps over until 3.0 is final.

logical...they're prob useing the beta's to start to reconfigure the apps so they will in fact run smoothly on 3.0 but dont want to release till its out to the public...they figure y make some devs and testers happy when we can wait and make everyone happy

As long as they can get Winterboard, Backgrounder, and Lockdown ported over I'm happy. Might go with iRealSMS again, I like the feel of it better then the stock text app.
