3G battery indicator issue

Hi folks,

I am having this strange problem with iphone 3G (jailbroken/unlocked but on ATT still )

I was having the usual problems of battery getting drained sooner upon
jailbreaking. So, I uninstalled(like after a month or so)
few packages in cydia like inetutils and ssh and some more.
It was fine on the day.
In the night, i didn't charge(it had 50% charge anyway) and next morning
I see phone is dead, so i check the charge it says 10%.
I then plugged it to wall charger and had it charged for 75 mins.
Now I check its still 10% charged !
Didn't know what to do.
Later I powered the device off, and then restarted.
Now voila battery is showing 80% :)
So what could be the issue ? Does anyone know ?
I use a cheap battery displayer, it was working fine though.

I'm having the same problem myself, except mine is slightly different.

I noticed my phone was at "100%" battery power all day. I knew there was no way that was possible, since I had used it in moderation throughout the day. Even after being off charge for almost 12 hours, it still said 100% power. I decided to reboot my phone.

When my phone returned to the main screen, it showed 75% and seems to be working fine now as far as displaying the proper battery power. My phone is Jailbroken, so I wasn't sure if this was a result of it or not. This is the first time it's happened since I've had my phone for almost 2 months.

Any ideas?

lol...it happened to me 3 days ago. I knew it couldnt have been at 100% all day....and sure enough later that night it popped up with the 10% left screen. So I charged it and its been fine since. weird.....i dunno. ohh....stock here. Just regular apps from the app store.
