Please help me install 3.0

Hello All,

I cant seem to find if this is posted, but can someone please help me upgrade to 3.0 V2?? I have it saved on my desktop and I tried the restore while holding down SHIFT, selected the file, and nothing happened. Please assist.

Make sure your phone is plugged into your computer, itunes recognizes it, then shift+click restore. Navigate to where the ipsw file is on your computer and click ok.

When I do that I keep getting An Unknown Error Occured message.....So frusterating:(

What is the file type? Are you on windows or a mac? I am not sure of the file type necessary for a mac, but if you are on windows and you have the .dmg file...you need to extract the ipsw file first and that is what you update to.

I am on a PC.....What should I do...I keep getting the not compatible message, I guess I need the PC download.

It sounds like you got the ipsw file for the wrong iPhone model.
