can i get an iphone 3g case on an iphone 2g

i have an iphone 2g the original and i really hate the fact that they dont come out with cool cases for this one. i really want the rebel case and since it was silicon i was wondering if i could still fit it on this phone and it would work?

A silicone case would probably work, but it wouldn't fit perfectly. The 3G iPhone is a bit thicker in the middle and thinner on the edges, so it would be tight around the edges on a first-gen iPhone and have a bulge in the middle. However, the Rebel is not just a silicone case since it has a plastic frame that fits over the silicone part - I don't think this would work for you...

some will, some won't. silicone cases will be fine. but hardshells are worthless.
