How do I turn off edge?

When there is no WIFI in the area how do I turn off Edge so it does not drain the battery......or does it even matter? Thanks for your help!

it wont drain your battery anymore, edge is just like a cell phone signal. so the only way to turn it off is to put your phone in airplane mode, but that will also turn off your phone so you wont be able to make or receive phone calls

It doesn't really matter. Edge doesn't use up that much battery life all on it's own. WiFi on the other hand, does.
