I'm new obviously since this is my first post, and I have been researching this topic for three days and have found no answer.

Here's the problem-

Two nights ago, I put the my iPhone on the dock connected to my mid-07 iMac. This is the computer that the phone has been synced with, and until now I have had no problems. The phone did not charge overnight, and was completely dead in the morning. The phone wouldn't charge on my iMac or on my Macbook, so I plugged it into the wall charger. I managed to get enough charge to get it booted up, so I plugged it into my computer to restore it, thinking that that might help.

Halfway through the restore, the phone goes dead again, and i get the big red battery that tells me to plug it in and charge it. Neither mac is charging it, so i put it back on the wall charger, and it says that it's charging, but never comes on. It stayed this way for the last two days, and today I picked it up and it turned on with an almost full charge. So the wall charger might have worked, I don't know.

So now it has a charge, but if the phone is on, the wall charger doesn't indicate that it's charging, and the computer doesn't recognize it. If the phone is off and I plug it into either the wall charger or the computer, it will turn the phone on, and NOT charge it. Itunes doesn't recognize the phone, so I can't restore it. I can't get the phone to go into DFU/restore mode.

I've used two macs, two wall chargers, and two USB cables in every configuration possible and none of them work. I even tried to run Quickpwn to jailbreak the phone, but it wouldn't recognize the phone either.

Prior to this problem, I have had zero problems and the phone was NOT jailbroken.

I took it to the Apple Store and they told me it was water damaged (indicator in the dock connector is slightly pink) and wouldn't help me at all. I've never had the phone in water, and the only thing I can figure by reading through different forums is that it was tripped by either body sweat by keeping it in my pocket, or rain. I have no idea.

Please let me know if there's anything that I can do short of buying a new iPhone.
