Is there a way to delete an email without having to delete it twice?

For example when i get emails on my iphone from yahoo. because I have my gmail go to yahoo for the push feature. Anywho when I delete it from inbox it goes to trash and I have to delete it again. Is there a way to delete is one time without having to go into the trash folder? Thanks...

Your trash on your phone will be emptied at an interval you specify. In Settings>Mail, contacts, calendar>Your mail Account> Account info>Advanced you can choose deleted items to be removed "Never", "After One Day", "After One Week", "After One Month". The feature is there incase you accidentally delete something you did not want too.
