I need my udid activated asap girlfriend in airforce will call sometime

i have tried a couple different places to get my udid activated but they turned out to just be scams i need it activated asap my girlfriend is in the airforce and she is going to call soon but i dont know when she is still in basic training if someone could activate it for me or tell me a good person that can for me that would really help me out

This is probably the wrong way to go about it..

Are you basically after getting firmware 3.0 Beta or something? As your UDID is for getting on a developer's beta testing list.

I have heard that if you connect your iphone to itunes without the internet connected it won't go through the activation process, your phone should be activated. Make sure your internet is off or disconnected from the computer first.

I have an official version of 3.0, yes I am a developer, so I have not personally tried this. I think I read it and saw it on youtube(if I find the link I'll post), but that really does not mean it is going to work. Wow and I thought I had it bad when I didn't have it for 3 days!!

Also the only other quick solution for conway4x4 would be to just put the sim in another phone

That's what i did when i fu*ked my phone!! I always carry another phone just in case. You can never be to careful ;)

I don't carry another phone(probably should), but using that other phone was torture. I've been spoiled by my iphone for too long.

I think almost anyone who uses an iphone loves it, even people who use mine just to do a simple task fall in love with it.

no i havent yet i am trying to find someone to put my udid on their list but if i have to i will pay to be a developer, or get a cheap phone until then

do you know what kind of phones will work or if that will even work cause i thought 3.0 upgrades your baseband does that effect the phone itself or simcard to

I hope you can get a spot from someone there.

The baseband is part of the iphone and does not affect the sim card(the baseband is why it is hard to go back to the 2.2.1 from 3.0). I and many others have switched in between phones to test the mms function, and the sim cards and phones worked like normal.

Well i got it to work if anybody wants to have their udid activated email this guy (lyonrt@gmail.com) he is a really nice and will activate it right away just cost me 9 dollars through paypal

Yes I can text them, but called when at&t was clueless about 3.0. Now they will all read the exact same thing about how they cannot do it and for you to call apple, so don't call them. It is post #27, just make sure that your browser doesn't unzip it, save it to your desktop so it's easy to find. Then in itunes hold down shift(windows) or option I'm pretty sure(for mac) and click update. Then choose the file, choose file type .ipcc and click "ok" and it takes like a second to dowload. You should find under setting> general> about> carrier should be 5.0. After that you can try sending but I doubt it will work. ya i thought that was high too but honestly i just really needed my phone back i just figured i would spread the word for a good person to activate your phone weather it be pricey or not it worked pretty much instantly
